Be Deliberate – FREE printable!

BeDeliberate

Hi friends,
You guys, summer is here! I love the freedom that summer time brings. If you are like me, you are SO ready to relax!  This mama is TIRED and ready for a break! Maybe it’s the heat, or maybe it’s the lack of routine, but something about summertime just makes me want to do a whole lot of nothing.

Of course, doing a lot of relaxing can be a good thing, and is occasionally vital and necessary.  However, I often find myself in a bit of a rut during summer.  For me, the problem boils down to becoming too relaxed, in all areas of my life.  Like I said, I am TIRED and just plain burned out.  I feel like I deserve a break.   I’m not alone in this, right?

BeDeliberate-4x6The answer for me is knowing that I need to be more deliberate in my daily choices.  In his latest conference address, President Monson said, “It has been said that the door of history turns on small hinges, and so do people’s lives.”  There are many things that I need to be more deliberate about. To help motivate me, I have created this PRINTABLE to help remind me of what choices I need to make to be more deliberate in my life.  It includes an 8×10 sign, as well as a 4×6 card to write what you would like to be more deliberate about. Honestly, I have a laundry list a mile long to work on (who doesn’t right?), but I am just going to work on one goal  at a time.  What are some things you need to be deliberate about?

Young Women Come Follow Me June Bundle Kit

Hi friends,
Have you seen our Young Women Come Follow Me printable kits?  These kits are a great way to enhance your lessons.  Each kit comes with different quotes, interactive handouts and activities from the lesson outlines.  These kits help you be prepared to have handouts ready for where the Spirit takes you in the lesson.  Each kit also comes with an introductory sign that is a great way to visually introduce the lesson to the girls. This month, we are offering all 5 printable lesson kits in a bundled package for $15.00!  That is more than $5 in savings vs. purchasing individually.  Awesome sauce, right?!  You can purchase the bundled package here.

JunePackage-Listing-01Want a closer look?  Here are some favorites from these printable kits:

JunePackage-Listing-02This printable from the lesson “What is the priesthood?” is great printable to use with the outline on lds.org, “Invite the young women to read the section titled “Priesthood Quorums” on page 125 of True to the Faith. What are the similarities between how Aaronic Priesthood quorums and young women classes are organized? What are the differences? Help the young women see that the women of the Church are organized after the pattern of the priesthood (see Daughters in My Kingdom: The History and Work of Relief Society [2011], 138).

This printable thank you card is from the lesson “What does it mean to sustain my church leaders?”  Using this printable is a great way for the Young Women to live what they are learning.  Have the young women thoughtfully think of someone that magnifies their calling.  Have them write a thank you card to that person.  Also included are circle tags that can be placed on a simple treat (goodie bag, candy bar, cupcake, etc.) to be given with the card.

This fantastic bookmark from the lesson, “How do I receive the power and blessings of the priesthood in my life?”. This is such a powerful quote, and with how colorful and visual it is, the young women you teach are sure to treasure it.

We’d love to hear from you! What do you think about these kits?  What have you found most helpful in preparing for your lessons?  What do your Young Women most respond to?  Let us know in the comments section!

FREE printable – Father’s Day / Priesthood Power Gift

Hi friends,
Can you believe that summer is just around the corner?  Today was my little guy’s last day of preschool! If you are a planner like me, you might be looking ahead to the summer months and already starting to plan things out.
In June, the Come Follow Me curriculum is all about the priesthood, which is so fitting because Father’s Day is also in June.  I decided to make these fun printables that can be used as a gift to recognize and thank the men in our life for using priesthood power to bless our lives.

PoweradePic

Included in this kit are two different printables.  One is a bottle wrap to wrap around a bottle of Powerade.  The other is a tag that can be used to tie around a bottle of Powerade, or to use with any gift.  I also created these on 2 different sizes of paper, 11×17 (to be able to wrap around the entire bottle) and 8.5×11.  All the files are available here.

These printables also coordinate with the Come Follow Me lesson printables that are available here.

Youth Cell Phone Signs

AirplaneModePicHi friends,
Any of us that teach youth know how awesome it can be, but that it also comes with many challenges. One particular challenge that I hear from just about everyone who teaches in a youth setting is the great Cell Phone Debate.  Cell phones are a HUGE part of our everyday lives, as well as the youth we teach.  So the question is, do electronics have a place in a church setting? How do you handle it in your wards? Today, I am not here to debate that question, rather, I am offering some help.

I have created two different sets of printables for you.  These are great to use in your classroom, during your activities, or even in the home for Family Home Evening or dinner time.

The first printable is a sign reminding the youth to set their phones in airplane mode.  When phones are in airplane mode, there is not the temptation to do things online, or to look at notifications.  This way, they can still look up scriptures and talks, but hopefully won’t be browsing social media. This option can help teach how to use your phones responsibly and teaches youth to be familiar with gospel apps. You can purchase this set here.

The second set / option is a sign requesting phones go into a basket.  I’ve heard many leaders say this works great for them.  Sometimes having a treat next to the basket and sign is an added incentive. Using this option eliminates the distraction of technology. This kit is available for purchase here.

Each kit comes with 5 different color options, and is available as an 8.5×11 sign, as well as 5×7.

CellBasketPicEach ward and each class is different, so prayerfully decide how to handle electronics in your classroom and during weekly activities. This article is a great resource regarding using electronics.  Take a minute and read it over.
