{Butterscotch Cookies}

My husband I and both love butterscotch cookies and (to us) this is the best recipe around!

 4-1/2 c. flour
 2 tsp. baking soda
 2 c. butter
 1-1/2 c. brown sugar
 1/2 c. white sugar
 2 pkgs. butterscotch pudding (3.4 oz)
 4 eggs
 2 tsp. vanilla
 3 c. butterscotch chips

Mix flour and baking soda and set aside.  In another bowl, cream together the butterbrown and white sugar.  Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended.  Stir in the eggs and vanilla.  Blend in the flour mixture.  Stir in the butterscotch chips.  Bake at 375 for 7-9 minutes.  Just watch until edges turn a golden brown.

    Horrible! What a disappointment. These cookies are more like doughy cakes then a cookie. To much flour, not enough butter, and definitely need a pinch of salt to boost the flavor. When they bake the barely spread and ther is no way 9 minutes cooks them through. But by the time you do get them to cook through the bottoms are burnt!

    The only way to attempt to save the was to flatten the dough into 1/4 inch disks and reduce the oven temp. Don’t waste your time or ingredients on this one.
