Star Theme PDF Print E-mail

ACTIVITY DAY IDEAS:

Ocean Theme (Recognition Night - use starfish theme)
Shining Stars (Recognition Night)
You're a star (Recognition Night)

ACRONYMNS FOR "STAR":

S.T.A.R.S. - Stand together as rightous sisters

CENTERPIECE IDEAS:

Cut a piece of wood (like a 2x4) to about a 10-12" length. Drill 3 holes evenly on one of the flat sides. Glue 3 dowels in the holes (same length, varying length - up to you). Tie a couple strands of curling ribbon (thin stuff to wrap presents with) around the top. Cut 2 stars out of paper/posterboard, etc. Glue the 2 stars together around the top of the dowel and curling ribbon.  You could paint or spray paint the wood block and dowels. You could use curling ribbon and papers to match the colors or theme that you are going for. You could even use glitter or puff paints to add to it. It's pretty easy and doesn't cost too much.  (Idea by Melissa Cass)
We did long, tall vases with gold star garland up in the outside of navy blue tissue paper stuffed inside. The we cut stars out of metallic gold cardstock and used floral message holders to have them sticking out of the vase. The were inexpensive and easy. (Stephanie Thomas)
