  • Sally  - pdf's of lessons

I don't have a mobile device, and I really like to have printed material with me when I teach. I'd love to create pdf's of the lessons, including the talks, 2 columns for readability. Is anyone working on that? Can we collaborate?

  • Stephanie

Our ward clerk handed out a mini-lesson manual that is exactly what is put online. I like to have something in paper form, too. I taught this week. It worked out wonderfully. I read the material ahead of time, picked out a few teaching suggestions I thought the girls would benefit most from, and went by the Spirit. We had a great discussion and I didn't even have enough time to finish the two activities I had "planned" because of the inspiration to discuss specific things and read certain scriptures. Good luck!

  • Melissa Oldfield  - eHomework for study and Live and Learn

Each Sunday we are directed to advise the girls to study for the next lesson. This blog is a place they can go on their handheld devices and study for the lessons without going to the actual lesson plan and wading through all the teacher's manual items.

Feel free to post it on your blog as a resource for others.

  • Melissa Oldfield  - Sally,

The lessons don't really work that way anymore. They are created for you to study ahead of time, and write down some inspirational things the Holy Ghost directs to you. Then, when you are in the classroom, you would start by asking a question or doing one of the suggestion. Then you continue on by following the mood and direction the students take. You won't be following a lesson outline any longer like in the past. The lesson should be very student centered and not from a paper.

In the past, when you would refer to your lesson for the next part, instead, feel in your heart what the Holy Ghost wants you to say and do next and go with that. Don't worry, it gets easier with practice.

I have been working on an outline with the questions that are posed through the lesson for my Laurel's class. I think of it as a workbook for them to be able to work through during the month and make notes and keep for their records. I think it would really work well for the teacher as well if you are interested let me know and I will upload it. I have four Mutual age kids in my house and they all want a copy of it for them to use on Sunday's as well.

  • Lisa  - Hi Aleasha

I read your post and I would love to see your "workbooks". Like you, I'd like the girls have a notebook of notes, feelings, inspirations, etc. Thank you!

  • Ellie  - Workbook?

I would love a copy, what a great idea!

    Ellie Hardt

  • Elise  - Great idea

I would like a copy as well. I was thinking of getting each of the girls a little notebook to keep their notes in, so an outline would go along great as I'm new at this. Thank you , Elise

  • JoAnn

I would love a copy of your outline as well. It sounds like it might get my very quiet Beehives more involved with the lessons.

  • Jechelle  - Aleasha workbook?

I would love a copy of the outline too, are they uploaded somewhere already?

  • Debbie  - outline

I would love to have a copy of your outline. I teach the Beehives and they are so quiet. This new program is great, but trying to get the Beehives to participate and answer questions is not easy. Thanks for all the work you put into the outline. Hopefully this will help the Beehives in my class.
    Thanks Debbie

  • Glenda

Thanks for sharing your "workbooks". I would love a copy. Sounds like an awesome way to have my class more involved in the lessons!

  • Sue

Did you upload this? I have not been able to find it.

  • Cheryl

I would love a copy of this. How do I get it??

  • janel nelson  - workbooks for Laurel for lessons 2014

I loved your idea about workbooks for the YW, to go along with the lessons. Do you have that for 2014 lessons. I would be interested in seeing what you have done...

  • Aleasha  - Workbook

I would love a copy too. Thank you for being willing to share! It sounds great!

  • Brenda  - I'm very interested

I appreciate the work you have gone to for the book and would like to see a copy of it, if you please!

  • Debbie

I would also love love a workbook/notebook too!

  • Heather

I would love this workbook as well!

  • Teri Stephens

I would love to have a copy also. I have this amazing opportunity to work with the Laurels!

  • KLyn Haskell  - Young Women President

I would love a copy of this workbook as well. Thank You

  • Ellen  - lesson strategy

I am loving the new lesson outlines. What I have been doing is reading through the provided material and writing notes on what I want to include and then I am creating a powerpoint with all the quotes and stories and videos I want to include. It makes the lesson go very smoothly and the girls really like the power point format. If you don't have powerpoint or a laptop you can take to church you could still use your notes for a paper outline to give your lesson some structure.

  • Rhonda Brown  - Young Women Lesson Power Points

Are you doing the power points for 2014 lessons? Are you willing to share them? I would love to see them.

  • Annette  - Powerpoint Presentation

I teach the Beehives. It would be great to have anything that they can look at and be involved with. I would love to see what you are doing. Also, are you still doing this for 2014? I would love a copy. Thank you.

  • melanie

  • Kathy
