Cameo's are now available!
Over the summer you might have heard the news that Silhouette was coming out with a new cutting machine called the "Cameo".
What is it? It's an electronic cutting tool for personal use. It connects to your computer just like a printer, but instead of printing designs it cuts them with a small blade. With the machine connected to your computer, you'll get access to all of the fonts on your PC plus the thousands of cuttable designs found on the Silhouette Online Store. It is a 12" cutting tool which means you will still be able to cut all small media, but you now have the ability to cut your 12" scrapbook paper as well as cardstock, vinyl, fabric and more up to 12" wide and 10 feet long. It also has a slot for an SD card so you could load images on it so you don't have to be hooked up to the computer to use it. Plus it is MAC compatible!
You can easily adjust and slide the plastic rollers to keep the traction just right for your project.
I tested out the new Cameo using the Fabric Ink Starter Kit and it was SO much fun!
I selected some images from the Silhouette Online Store and got to work. Following the directions in the starter kit, I made a customized shirt:
