Has anyone made a scripture bookmarker for the new theme that list all the scriptures for each month in 2012??!!

Is there a new 2012 FHE lesson plan that coordinates with the primary theme this year? I have absolutely LOVED the one's from the past couple of years. They are fabulous and with my little one's they are an absolute life saver. It makes my life so much easier to have a 10 minute FHE that I can just print out the day before or even that morning.

Oh, nuts! I was hoping some WONDERFUL, ON THE BALL, stake primary leader had come up with a fabulous idea for Stake Leadership Training with the 2012 theme already that I could totally just plagiarize and pull off as my own.... Any ideas?

Bonnie, I was wishing for the same thing! We are doing break out sessions with our music leaders, nursery workers, teachers, activity days. We ask someone in the stake to teach, typically someone who we've seen does a pretty good job. We are going to focus our president training towards sharing time. Most of our wards still do sharing time the old way with opening exercises that are too long. Anyway, hope that helps. I was hoping to find some cute ideas for invitations to our training meeting.

Has anyone any bright ideas for 2012 birthday gifts for the children. The only thing I can think of is a fabric banner with the CTR logo appliqued to it.

CTR rings with a smartie candy in it and a tag that reads, "Be a smartie-Choose the Right!"

Please help. Our primary has a very hard time keeping a chorister. For a Christmas gift this year, we would like to give the children a CD of all the songs in next year's outline. Does anyone out there know where I can download the songs?

B-Day idea for 2012-We're thinking of using the CTR rubber bracelets attached to some gummy candies with a note that says,"Always remember to "CHEWS" the right."

For a birthday idea for 2012, we're using a story in the Aug 2012 Sharing Time Outline about the boys who wanted to take a farmer's boots but instead left coins in them, hence they chose the right and watched the farmer drop to his knees to say a prayer of thanks (President Hinckley shared it). I typed up the short story in the inside of a printed bday card; the other side will have slits cut in it to hold chocolate coins or real coins (nickels, quarters -wish our budget would allow 2 dollar coins like the story...).

I am looking for ideas for the bulletin board....any thoughts?

I have been told that the MP3 versions of the 2012 songs, that are available to download on lds.org, will not copy to multiple CD's. Does anyone have any experience with this? I can not find the new song from the 2012 outline on CD anywhere.

We need help!! Our primary teachers aren't showing up all the time. So, for this next year, we want to create a document on excel that lists the manuals and all the lessons being taught so we can stay on the same lesson even when they don't show up or find a sub. Looking for CTR fabric. Does anyone know where to buy? Our small primary thinking about making CTR pillowcases for birthdays in 2012.

I wondering if anyone knows where I could find a copy of the picture on the back of the 2012 Sharing Time with the child's hands holding on to the rod. I love it and I can't find it anywhere.

We are putting each months theme on a part of a house. Each month we will build the house and add the part when the Bishopric presents the theme for the month. We will have the parts outlined like a puzzle so the children can see what may be coming. Hope that made sense!

Help! I am new to primary and am working on our lesson schedule for next year. There are not enough lessons in the manuals for all the weeks in the year. What are we suppossed to do for the extra weeks? I already took out General and Stake Conference, but am still 2 lessons short!

2012 Sacrament Program Idea: Here is Illinois: We decided that if this year's theme is "Choose the Right" then for the Sacrament Meeting Program we would have each child submit a "I'm Trying to Be Like Jesus" experience to the Presidency. (Just like the stories submitted in "The Friend" under that section name). We are dividing the stories by topics ("I Can Choose the Right at Home", "I Can Choose the Right in School", "I Can Choose the Right with my friends", "I Can Choose the Right at Church", etc.) and having the children share their stories (with the songs added as they go along with the topics) as the Sacrament Program. This way they are internalizing the message for the year and not just repeating back what we taught. We are very excited as this as it will help us seat the older and younger children together (by topic) to help with reverence and blend their voices better for singing.

Anyone up for a little FUN?!?! For the past few years I have tried to guess the next years theme. Any good guesses for 2013? I have a couple of ideas but don't want to take all the fun. I'll just predict Articles of Faith. Anyone else got a guess?

Help new 2nd counselor first sharing time on Sunday...I am totally overwhelmed here. I will blunder through this one but would love some help for the next one...I am the third sunday. We won't even mention scouts...sanity suggestions requested.

This year in our singing time portion we used the "Olmypics" as our theme. Each week we brought in a board containing the olympic logo and our a list of our songs. Each month we had a guest judge come in and give the kids either a gold, silver, or bronze medal for the song they were singing. This really helped to motivate the children in our war and they were so excited to win a "gold medal" after our primary program. We are trying to think of a different idea to do with the kids for this next year. I want something we can use all year until the primary program and something that will motivate and encourage the children to sing well. I would love to hear some of your ideas! Thanks!!!

This year in singing time we used the "olympics" as our theme. Each week we would bring in a poster board singing the olympic song. The kids would receive a gold, silver, or bronze medal for their singing. It helped not only the kids, but the leaders know how much more to practice on each song. The kids loved getting "gold" (chocolate) medals after the primary program. I am looking to do something different for next year. I want something to motivate the kids as well as be something fun that we can do all year. If you have a good ideas please let me know!!
