Enrichment Activity - [pdf] [Word]

Ericka writes, "Make sure you are on the correct lesson number for your ward/branch. I usually work on powerpoints a week or two ahead of where I am teaching.

When I prepare the powerpoints the lesson and scripture story are nearly word for word from lds.org. I occasionally make slight changes to make it flow better for a powerpoint. However, for the most part, it's identical to the manual and the New Testament scripture stories found on lds.org.

You may need to tweak things so they'll work properly for you. Feel free to alter and delete slides as you see fit! The powerpoint is longer than what can be covered in class because I have included all of the enrichment activities. Choose whichever ones you want to use in class and delete the others. Enjoy!"

The ppts tend to be largish files. Depending on your internet speed it can take a few to several minutes to download. Sometimes I have a hard time when I click on open and have to click on save or save to to get the file to download successfully. I can email it directly to you if you don't mind posting your email.

Thank you so much for the time you spend making these. Sometimes I use the whole power point and sometimes I just print a few slides, but I always appreciate the beautiful artwork you find. You truly make my calling easier!

I was so excited when I found the lesson about this parable. I cannot wait to see the power point presentation, unfortunately, I cannot open it, it is complicated to me. We want to see them to give some ideas for the coming roadshow of our Primary Children. God bless you.

Thank you for your hard working making this PowerPoint. But isn't this parable about receiving from God the good news that we are saved to eternal life by Jesus, and that we should then put that Gospel to work by sharing it with others, and absolutely NOTHING to do with children improving their piano playing skills or football, etc?

Thank you so much for this. I have been thinking about learning the violin lately, but I have so many other things that I enjoy doing and am still developing, I wasn't sure if adding just one more talent was going to be practical. For the past few days I've had the parable of the talents on my mind, because I know I've buried my other talents, and I want to develop all of them, but I especially want something to be passionate about to share with the world. I came online and found your powerpoint to better understand the parable. When I looked at the pdf for the activity and the first line said "You have the talent to be a fine violinist", my heart skipped a beat! I'm going to get out my other talents, use some of them to help fund a violin and lessons (sell quilts), use some to supplement learning violin (practice piano and start performing for others), and use others like you've used yours to help others (I teach nursery and love kids, so maybe make patterns to give away ...
