In the new book it states "Mothers may complete the same requirements as their daughters" and regarding leaders, "Leaders are encouraged to work on Personal Progress along with the young women. They may earn the Young Womanhood Recognition after they:
• Serve for a total of one year as a Young Women leader.
• Complete the required value experiences in each of the eight values.
• Complete three value projects, including the project for virtue."

Our daughter received her YW recognition recently and we want to frame her certificate and a photo of her on that day (in one frame). Does anyone have any thing like that?

Has anyone modified personal progress for young women with disabilities? We have a young woman with autism in our group. Any ideas? Thanks!

Thank you
Leaders need to cmplete two value experiences and the compulsary goals in each value.

As a matter of fact, I'm working on Personal Progress right now! I'm a 2nd year Beehive, almost 14, and I'm already almost finished with my Personal Progress!!!! :-) After I'm finished, I want to try and work for my Honor Bee

It's near the back of the Personal Progress book and it's online, too.

A fun thing we have done to encourage personal progress, service projects and honor bees - I put some kind of chart up, like a game board. When a girl or leader completes and experience, service project or works towards an honor bee they get to mark one spot. For a completed project they get to mark two. When complete by the end of the month there is a treat. For example, I made a little frog who needed to get to the end of the path and if he got there I brought Froggy Floats on the last Sunday (sprite or 7up with a scoop of lime sherbet and junior mint eyes). Each month I started something new with a treat at the end of the month. We didn't keep track of who marked the spots - the idea was to encourage everyone to work together by completing their own experiences, etc. to earn the treat.

a while ago there was a post about an idea for Christmas and it included giving the girls each a pillowcase. I loved the idea, but can't remember the details - can you run it again or does anyone remember it?

Matt it, then you can fit both in the same frame, and it also looks really kool :-)

I remember receiving booklets as a young teen (about 18 yrs ago) about women who exemplified each of the young women values. One was Esther (integrity, I think), one was Mary, one was Eve. They had nice artwork on the front depicting each woman. Anyone remember those, and more importantly, does anyone know where I can find them?

I've recently been made YW secretary and was given a binder that goes right along with the Personal Progress book. It has spaces to write and to write out what the book asks you to do. We as a presidency found it so helpful that we ordered one for each of our girls... The only problem is that there is no Virtue section to complete the binder! Do any of you have any idea where I can find the remaining section? It doesn't say any copyright information on it at all or give credit anywhere... I'm honestly wondering if someone amazing came up with it in our stake or something. .... Please help! Let me know, thanks! -Laura
