Ericka writes, "You may need to tweak things so they'll work properly for you. Feel free to alter and delete slides as you see fit! The powerpoint is longer than what can be covered in class because I have included all of the enrichment activities. Choose whichever ones you want to use in class and delete the others. Enjoy!"

Welcome back! I have missed your power points... I mean I have missed you  . These are the best. I can't wait to start using them again. Kids will be begging me to be the one to take home and use for FHE.

Thank you for your generous efforts! They are very appreciated. I have used your powerpoint in class but have also printed out specific slides, sort of an abbreviated version and put the copies in a flip chart/presentation binder I purchased at Office Max. Great way to use your PP without taking the laptop with me. Thank you!

I have used your powerpoints for a year now and they have been so GREAT. This year however, I have a more difficult class with one boy that has some special needs. These powerpoints you make help SO much. I really appreciate the time you take to create them AND share them with us! You rock!

I'm glad the powerpoints are helping as an extra teaching aid. I am not the first or only one to submit powerpoints to this site. I definitely enjoy making them. I don't mind at all if anyone alters them to suit their personal inspiration. Many kids are such visual learners it's hard for them to absorb the information coming at them. Being able to share the powerpoints here give me a great excuse to add in more bells and whistles because it's helping children learn more about the gospel. I am not an engaging enough personality to hold their attention through a lesson, so these work well for me to teach with.

I love this.....Thank you so much for all your time that you have used to prepare these powerpoint presentations.....I use them almost every week......I have never taught primary before now and need all the help I can get on how to teach God words to these precious spirits in a way that they would understand.

  • Sheree

You will never know how much I really appreciate this. After an unexpected funeral and entertaining family from out of state, I had no idea how I was going to pull a lesson together by 9 a.m. Great job and keep it up!

Question?? When you all use the powerpoints to teach your classes, are you taking a laptop with you or printing them out??

  • Ericka Covalt

I bring my laptop with the lesson on a flashdrive for class. I know some teachers who have larger classes have said in the past that they project it onto a screen. However, my class of 7 or so reads the slides off the laptop screen.Ericka

    Ericka,
I used this PPT today and the kids loved it!! They were so engaged with the pictures and words and they each took turns reading a slide. They were so reverent too! They asked if I was going to bring my laptop again next week. Thank you for the time and effort you put into this. It was such a great way to teach the children! Thank you!!

I used your ppt lessons all last year. The kids really remembered them. I did a review towards the end of the year with pictures from the ppt lessons. They remembered almost all of the lessons taught. Way to go Erica. Thanks so much for making my teaching experience a success. You are exemplifying service.

In response to the questions posted: I take my laptop with me to show the actual presentaion. The kids form a circle around the table and they each take turns hitting to advance the slides and they take turns reading each slide outloud to the class. I print off the PPT pages so I can reference those myself during the lesson since I am sitting behind the laptop. The kids actually liked turning off the lights too so I brought a small light to plug in so it isn't so dark in the room.
