PURPOSE OF THIS LESSON - To help the children understand the fall of Adam and Eve and to have a desire to return to the presence of Heavenly Father.

1. Primary 6 Lesson Cards by Letitia Drabsch - Handout Idea

2. Using the scriptures, have the children in your class find the things Heavenly Father told Adam and Eve about the tree of good and evil.  Write the things they find on the chalkboard under the heading, "GOD SAID".  Then have the children find the things Adam and Eve did and what happened to them.  Write the things they find under the heading, "ADAM AND EVE".  Help them understand that because Adam and Eve ate the fruit we can come to earth.  We are essentially grandchildren of Adam and Eve.

 3. REVIEW - Draw something similar on the chalkboard.  Ask the class review questions from the lesson.  When a child gets the right answer, they get to connect one dot to another dot.  Continue until all dots are connected forming an apple.  As you talk with the class about the sacrifice Adam made, tape the wordstrips on the chalkboard as shown.  Help them understand that Adam's sacrifice helped Adam and Eve think about the sacrifice of Jesus.  Then talk about the sacrifice Jesus made for us and tape the wordstrips on the chalkboard.

4. Chicken Scratch 'n Sniff

5. Teach your class the 2nd Article of Faith and challenge them to memorize it.  Discuss the meaning behind this Article of Faith and how it relates to them.

6. Opposition Game by Rachel Defnet

It should be posted soon! I had to make some major changes because it was too big of a file to email. It's still pretty big, but it's less than half the memory size it was. You'll need to click and enlarge a lot of the images to make them bigger as I had to make them smaller too! Ericka

    Ericka
I was doing my own powerpoints last year because I have a deaf boy in my class and seeing pictures and words helps him learn better. We just found your powerpoints, which have been a blessing. Thanks so much.

Yes, they are long. They are pretty much exactly as they appear in the manual with all of the the enrichment activities. I feel it us up to the individual teachers to decide which they want to use. However, I put them all in there so that choice is easily available. If you want to use the powerpoints I post and want to shorten them to whatever length you like please feel free to do so. I don't use the entire powerpoint in my class, but I create the the powerpoint to include everything that is provided in the manual. It's up to the individual teacher to take, alter or not use what I'm coming up with. If you want to delete slides or enrichment activities, please feel free to delete them. Warmly, Ericka

Thanks sooooo much. I help my husband prepare his lessons, and finding these have been a lifesaver for the 11-year old boys. They love them, and it helps to "break up" the lesson time. We surely appreciate all the time it took to do these, and for your willingness to share.

This web site is truly inspired! My kids love having things to take home to show "what we learned in Primary today", and the Power Points are fantastic. The pictures keep the kids interested and involved, and they can understand the concepts a lot better. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
