Prepared a simple obstacle course using folding chairs and other objects. Have the girls try and get through it while looking backwards. After everyone has had a turn, let them go through the same course looking forward. Discuss how looking forward is like forgiveness, because when we forgive, we can concentrate on our future and forget the hurts of the past.

The world needs forgiving hearts by Shanna Vineyard
"A friend suggested the following (only if treats are okay in your ward of course). Make monkey bread (or any kind of very sticky, gooey bread). Bring in the same dish used for baking but have the girls use their hands to get out a piece to eat. The object is to have the girls get their hands messy as they enjoy the treat. Don't have napkins or plates for them to use. After they've finished their treat, talk about how when we first sin, it seems very desireable and "sweet" but after a time, it isn't any fun anymore and we're left with a big mess on our hands and how we want more than anything to be clean. Then give them something to clean up with and discuss the rest of the lesson." (Idea shared by Kara Reeder / LDS YW Yahoo Group)
Kylie Ofiu writes, "I made little friendship bracelets with a heart key on them and attached the quote "Forgiveness is the key to eternal happiness". I made up little paper bags from scrapbook paper to put them in, along with the quote from Pres. Spencer W. Kimball, the scriptures from the lesson and I printed the story from Corrie ten Boom, rolled it up and tied it with a ribbon and placed in the bag. The girls loved them." ga06212012 (For more information on how to make a friendship bracelet, visit Kylie's blog here).
