Christ's Last Week

Lynette writes, "Last year the Mia Maid advisor and I did the lesson together. We taught about the last week of Christ's life. We made a book (4x6 photo book) for each of the girls and we brought different items for them to see and eat (a crown of thorns, unleavened bread, goat choese, raisins, whip and robe, white linen, etc.) The girls really enjoyed it and it was so neat to study that week in preparation to teach. Christ accomplished and taught so many amazing things during that last week of His life."
Lynette has shared her Young Women Easter Lesson and files. Read the top file first as it includes the instructions and lesson plan.
ADDITIONAL NOTE by Jamie Walburger - "I think this is a very nice idea, and I set out to do it but I find that printing off color copies all the time for things really becomes costly and unnecessarily eats up the budget. So a simple and inexpensive way to do almost the same thing (the girls leave with only the mental and spiritual souvenir) is to use the GAK pictures 223 - 236 to tell the story of his last week, and can be just as effective."

This is a great idea! I have printed everything off and ordered some albums for $1.29 each. But I was wondering if you could give more detail on how you presented this lesson. Did you just read the book with them? Thanks! Sherri

Cherie,I found the brag books for $1 at Walmart. I am working on putting them together now. thanks for the awesome idea!!

This was a fabulous idea. It was lots of work, but well worth it. I would advise to only print the pictures of Christ in color, and everything else in black and white. You can mount on cardstock if you want more color in the book. I had leaders prepared to read different days and I grouped the chairs in a circle. The Spirit was so strong and each girl and leader learned so much as was able to take a book home with them and could share with their families. Great Job Lynette!!!
