lesson #3 I found this video, with the song "His Hands" that I have downloaded onto my lap top
for a meaningful hand out. It is a simple liquid hand soap bottle with the label removed and then a transparency printed out with these words (in a variety of fonts) put inside the bottle so you can see it thru the clear soap the words are: Clean Hands, loving hands, caring hands, friendly hands, PRAYING HANDS, Kind Hands, giving hands, willing hands, strong hands, helping hands
I plan to make these soap bottles for my girls and I also have a hand shaped cookie cutter that I plan to use to make frosted sugar cookies. I would like to attach a tag that says " I will make my hands like those from Gallilee" (from the song I will make the tag on the cookies a bookmark and that will make it more lastingly meaningful.

We did "makeovers" with this lesson. It was a lot of fun, and the girls really loved it. I got fingernail polish, lip gloss, heart shaped soaps etc and attached a quote that corresponded to it and reminded us to follow Christ in that trait. i.e. lip gloss was "soft answer turneth away rath"-everytime you use it think that Jesus always was gentle in his speaking, and never talked down or rudely. The fingernail polish was my favorite. I encouraged them to paint their nails a color they don't normally use and watch their hands with the thought that we are Jesus's hands. (the entire lesson plan started in my head when I painted my fingernails blue and found that I couldn't ignore blue fingernail polish!) I wish that I would have thought of the "His Hands video" that would have been perfect!
