Bring to class a half-popped bag of microwave popcorn so that there are unpopped kernels and popped kernels. Explain that the kernels that have popped represent those of us that have accepted the gospel and are bursting with potential. The unpopped popcorn represent those who have chosen not to listen, believe or accept the gospel. We, sometimes without realizing it, are missionaries to all. Have everyone string popcorn necklaces. And we are bold to declare that any government, political system, church, sect, cult, or group of worshippers that either denies men the freedom to worship as they choose or imposes on them a system or way of worship by force is not of God” (A New Witness for the Articles of Faith, 657; see also Alma 21:22).
