#LIGHTtheWORLD: Christmas-in-a-Box Free Printable Kit from Brightly Street

Christmas is a time to spread the love of our Savior and that is why we are helping spread the word about the mormon.org campaign called #LIGHTtheWORLD.  This is all about finding simple ways to serve others.  So Sugardoodle has teamed up with some amazing bloggers who have created free printable kits to help you spread kindness to those around you.

Melia at Brightly Street has come up with a Christmas in a Box kit for you to use.  This free printable kit can be sent to someone who is away for the holidays or can just cheer up a friend. It would be fun to make as family too.  Here is Melia with more info about her printables:

All of the instructions and printables are completely FREE to use, however you will not find them here on Sugardoodle.  Instead we have shared them with some fabulous LDS bloggers and site owners who have each taken these printables and used them in their own way.  You can find them by visiting the #LIGHTtheWORLD main page and clicking on one of the supporting site links.  This list is growing daily, so check back often!

The #LIGHTtheWORLD campaign continues throughout the whole month of December starting with a Worldwide Day of Service on Decebmer 1, 2016.  Isn’t it wonderful to know that so many others will be sharing the love of our Savior all around the world?  Be sure to join in by looking for little opportunities to help others.  Encourage others to join in by sharing these free printable kits and using the hashtag #LIGHTtheWORLD on social media.  Also, don’t forget to share the mormon.org video all about this uplifting initiative.

We are so grateful to Melia at Brightly Street for sharing her talents and creating these free printables!  Merry Christmas!

FREE 2017 Mutual Theme Young Women Printables

YW2017-BlogListing-01

Hi friends,
I was SO excited when the church announced the 2017 Mutual Theme and have LOVED creating these printables.  I know this theme is inspired because it teaches us a principal that is VITAL to our spiritual development and growth.  In our day of instant gratification and turning to google for just about everything, it is important for us to learn where the source of true knowledge and peace comes from.

I have created LOADS of printables to go along with this theme and am offering some of them FREE to our sugardoodle.net readers.  I hope they can help you in instilling this theme into the Young Women you teach and into all of our daily lives.

A Fast Order of Last Minute Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Fathers Day Coloring Page Coupons Printable-01

Free Father’s Day printables for kids to color

Fathers Day Printable Coupons-01Don’t forget dear Dad this weekend.  It’s his one weekend he gets to shine and be noticed!  I did some heavy research and found out a few things your dad and/or husband told me they/he wanted.  I’m sharing a free printable with some of these great coupons that came from my excellent sleuthing.  Have the kids color or paint them, then cut them out and slip them in his wallet or scriptures to surprise him this Sunday morning.  Or maybe send him on a treasure hunt to collect them!  He might prefer to just sit on the couch and have the kids run around to collect them.  Whichever way, they will be a great gift that he is sure to redeem in the near future!   Find all the downloads available HERE!

I also found several great ideas from the Paging Supermom website.  I love the game and the cookie prize award!  These would go great paired with the above handmade coupons.  And the best part?  The kids can be a part of the creating!  Wrap you arms around Dad’s neck and give him a book of coupons, a prize cookie and a great big kiss!

Hugs,

#Hallelujah Day 10 Easter Advent Kit for Holy Week

Day 10-1Alleluia-01Day 10 of our Easter Advent for Holy Week is of course my most favorite.  It’s Easter Sunday. Hallelujah, Jesus is risen!  Play Handel’s Messiah, “Hallelujah” choir through the home to wake everyone up.  Click HERE for the recent Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s virtual rendition.  For dinner you may choose to make an alternative to the traditional baked ham and cheesy potatoes, and choose foods from the bible days such as:  Lentils, tabbouleh, Greek red Easter eggs, flatbread, lamb or many other ideas are available online.  The tablescape visuals below share all things living for this season.  Enjoy and have fun with it this year.  The flowers and plants make everything feel alive and glorious.  This has been so fun to share with you, and if you didn’t get to participate this year, think about next year.  Gather ideas.  Mark your calendar a little earlier to prepare.  I hope if you are participating, you share the two hashtags #SDEaster #Hallelujah so we can help one another celebrate a more Christ-centered Easter as families.

Cracking Eggs Game:  The rule of the game is simple. One holds a hard-boiled egg and taps the egg of another participant with one’s own egg intending to break the other’s, without breaking one’s own.

Add a little super power to your Scripture Study

Sometimes scripture study needs a little boost. What better way to keep kids on track with their scripture goals this a simple printable…chock-full of scripture power?

MeckMom Super Suckers 3

Bold, bright and easy to assemble, they’re the perfect addition to your next Primary sharing/singing/class time or as a sweet incentive in your family scripture study. But don’t take our word for it. Check out the latest review from Mary, a Primary Chorister in Heber, Utah…

“These were a BIG hit in my singing time/scripture chase activity! The kids thought they were SO cool and such a fun way to reinforce the theme of the year! I was afraid they’d be time-consuming to construct, but they were very easy to cut and looked awesome without much effort! I’d totally make them again!”

The super suckers come in two sets: red, green, blue, yellow or pink, purple, aqua, yellow. You can find them in the Sugardoodle Shop for only $3.50 each.
