Alphabet Soup

Several months ago, I was at a going out of business sale when I was inspired with this idea, they had Styrofoam letters and I purchased each girls first initial, then I gave them out a week or two ahead with this little note:

Alphabet Soup

Here is a little letter that stands for you,
Paint it, decorate it, style it true
For this little letter will represent you.

Bring it back at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, _______________
Be able to describe how this little letter represents someone as AWESOME as you!

The letters came out amazing, some really put a lot of time into them, and of course a few did not. I had made extra paper letters in case an investigator that I didn't know about came, they could do one up really  quick. Each girl showed her letter and shared many things about herself, it was great to see how differently each girl interpreted this activity. We also had left over ice cream from the week before, so we had individual worth Sunday's while we were sharing our letters. I later thought that it would have been fun to do the Individual worth cookies, where each girl is assigned to bring an item for the recipe, but to do it with a soup recipe. Now that the weather is cooler, it might be a welcome addition to the evening. Just assign each girl to bring an item for the soup recipe, and then if anyone is missing, then you just have to do without that ingredient.
