The perfect formula

What you'll need: 

- Two empty 2 liter bottles...remove any labels, clean and completely dry
- About 20-25 large marshmallows (dried and hard...easier to write on)
- Sharpie markers
- scissors

What you do before class:

- Cut the top 1/3 of the pop bottles off . 
- You may need to make a cut in one of the bottles vertically down the side so that both parts fit together (it should look like a capsule of medication)

During class:

Give each young women a few of the hardened marshmallows and a marker.  Ask them to write down one thing on each marshmallow that makes their home a happy place to be.  What activities do you do as a family?  What do you love about your family?   Once they are done, have them put their marshmallows in the pop bottle container.  Then put all the marshmallows into the two halves and put together.

Discuss with the girls:

What are some things that bring your family together?  Is there a happy pill like the one we've just created or does it take actual work to create this?  Are you contributing to this formula?  What can you do to make your home as happy as the one we've created?  Can one person really make a difference?
