I got the schedule of local events with names and address of galleries, etc. But most importantly, I think it's great to encourage the girls to try something new. In the book If Talent Were A Pizza, You'd Be A Supreme by Jack Weyland, he talks about how when we were in kindergarten we all got our artwork put up on the wall.  Then as we got older, only the best artwork went up. Then we started to get graded. Pretty soon, we gave up on trying because we didn't want to fail. Failing is okay - some of the best things I've seen are a result of failure. Even if you just aren't good, you gain an appreciation for those who can. (Credit Unknown)
