Candy Bar Wrapper to say Thank You

grrATTITUDE (from BYU
Women's Conference)
I asked everyone to bring something with them that they are
grateful for. I told them it can be anything, a picture of someone or something,
or anything else. They are to tell us why they are grateful for it. I also asked
one of the girls to tell us the story of the Ten Lepers. I have also made up
"Attitude of Gratitude" books for them to take home. The book is half of a
sheet of paper. To make it nicer, the front and back cover are out of parchment
card stock. On the front cover, I have the title "An Attitude of Gratitude" and
this quote from President Monson: "We can lift ourselves, and others as well,
when we refuse to remain in the realm of negative thought and cultivate within
our hearts an attitude of gratitude. If ingratitude be numbered among the
serious sins, then gratitude takes
its place among the noblest of virtues." On the first page is this quote from
President Hinckley from "Way to Be": "Gratitude creates the most wonderful
feeling. It can resolve disputes. It can strengthen friendships. And it makes us
better men and women. Your very attitude toward life can be evidence of whether
or not you are truly grateful for life, for the blessings you have, for the
comforts and privileges and opportunities you enjoy, for the talents you have
been given, for everything. Be grateful. Count your blessings and gifts and
privileges and see just how long that list is. I imagine that each of you will
have difficulties ahead of you. None of us can avoid them. But do not despair.
Do not give up. Look for the sunlight in the clouds. And be grateful for what
you have." I then include several sheets of blank paper for them to write the
things they are grateful for. It is to be an ongoing thing for the next year. I
bound them, but you could just staple them together. (Idea by Beverly Gerber -
