If you use the "Bee in Tune" theme (see Lesson Helps below), you could give the
girls a little baggie of Bit-O-Honey's with a card saying, "A honey bee is
industrious and a hard worker. Bee ready. Bee'ing in tune takes a 'bit of
work...but your reward will be a sweet one."

(from BYU Women's Conference)
I had the word revelation written in several
different languages (Spanish, Japanese, German and I signed the word in American
Sign Language) I asked the girls if any of them new what the words said and told
them they all said the same thing. Then I had a paper with the word written in
English then they all knew what it said. We talked about just how this word can
be said and written many ways revelation also comes in many different ways.
If we are not prepared to receive the revelation by studying and praying and
growing close to are Father in Heaven we may miss it. Just like we need to
study and learn other languages to know what the words said. We need to be
spiritually prepared to hear the Holy Ghost and receive revelation. [Use this

I used one
where I held up an empty paper towel tube and talked through it. Then I stuffed
the tube with dirty rags (representing sin and other distractions). When
I talked through the tube, they couldn't hear me. I talked about the importance
of keeping our lives pure and making sure that we take time to listen for the
promptings. (Idea by Katrina McNiven / ga02272007)
Seashell - Bring
a seashell to class and have each person try and listen to the ocean. They will
have to be quiet and still as they try and hear it. You could have them
talk and try to listen at the same time. Then have others talk as they try to
listen. You really have to be attuned to "hear" the sound.
This is also true with the Holy Ghost. We have to be quiet and still to hear
its promptings...but we have to become aware of how the Holy Ghost speaks to us
individually.
