Handout from Christy's Clipart
I thought I would attach a package of Cinna-Burst gum or
Starburst to a card that says...... (by Marie Page)
When the worldly pressures of today
Just make you want to "Burst",
Go to Heavenly Father
To quench your spiritual thirst.
Celestial glory will be yours
If you commit to Him,
To follow in His footsteps
And not let Satan win.

This
was a cute idea I saw once...there were pictures of caterpillars and butterflies
everywhere in the room. Our leader told the story about the girl who saw a
caterpillar struggling to break free from it's cocoon, so she decided to help it
by gently peeling away the cocoon for the new butterfly. Over the next few days
she watched as it came out more easily, but it's body was much bigger than usual
and it's wings were weak and fragile. It couldn't fly. The pressure to squeeze
out of the small cocoon pushes blood to the wings and completes the process of
the developing butterfly. In this same way pressure and trials of faith can make
us strong. You could also make a butterfly or caterpillar treats, like
line up snowballs (hostess snacks) and use twizzlers for antennae. (Erica in
Louisiana)

"One important step of faith for you as a pioneer
is to resist going along with the crowd in ways that would lead you astray."
