Young Womenopoly Game
by Shelley Clines

There is a wonderful Young Womenopoly game in the
"Young Women Standards of Personal Worthiness" by Linda Dastrup This is an incredibly fun game, when I played with my class (last time we were on manual 1) I copied the game, then enlarged it 200% glued it to a piece of foam core, and colored the squares. Instead of copying the money that is included, I simply used the real monopoly money from another game. I had a lot of assorted leftovers in my craft room that I used as game pieces (the girls always want to keep the game pieces) The squares on the game are great! Here are some of the categories this game covers:

Tithes and offerings
Seek the guidance of the Spirit
Honest in thought, word, and Action
Participate in church meetings & seminary
Temple attendance
Respect & support the priesthood
Tithes and offerings
refrain from unworthy speech
Tithes and offerings
Blessing of work sweetness of service
morally clean
Obey the laws of the land
Avoid immoral & suggestive materials and entertainment
Repentance & forgiveness
Tithes and offerings
Pray in private
Outer Darkness (loose a turn)
Honor father and mother
Obey word of wisdom
Practice the law of the fast
Make family like better
Tithes and offerings
Example of the Lords word in thought speech action and appearance

Here are the rules if you decide to make one of your own:

Assign a leader to be banker - each player begins with $150.00

Bankruptcy - If a player goes bankrupt, she can earn money be telling the banker what tithing is used for. Each thing mentioned could be worth $10.00.  Players receive $15 for each "Standard of Personal Worthiness" they know.

Tithes and offerings - When a contribution is made the player can determine the amount they would like to donate. Tithing settlement could be held at the end of the activity.

Each time you go around go you collect $200 and there are different monetary consequences for landing on each square, some good, some not so good. We had a great time playing this game and the girls wanted to do it again, we just haven't.
