Take Note...
by Melanie Day
This gift
is a collection of testimonies of those that serve in your Young Women
Program (President, counselors, secretary, advisors/teachers, camp director,
personal progress leader, etc.) These albums are to serve as a source of
strength. It could be given to Young Women as they graduate to Relief
Society, as a birthday or Christmas gift, or when the girls come into Young
Women's. It could be used as a handout for New Beginnings or Young Women
in Excellence....it could be used for any occasion really.
It can be as elaborate or as simple as you make it.
You could put these testimonies in any kind of binder...I was just thinking it
would be cute to make paper bag albums (see instructions below). You could
even have the girls make their own albums at an activity and then take them back
to finish them by printing off the testimonies of:
President Hinckley
Your Bishop
and/or Stake President
Young
Women President and those in the Presidency
Leave a
page for the Young Women to add their own
P.S. Ask all the leaders to pray before writing their entry. Maybe
they could share their conversion story, a special learning experience or
something that could build another young woman's testimony.
Paper bag albums - You take 3 paper lunch
bags and fold them in half. Punch 4 - 5 holes along the left hand side to make
it look like a book. Decorate in "scrapbook" style - Very easy.
