We did a fun one at our leadership conference. We split everyone into groups of 4-5. We gave the kids a stack of newspaper and masking tape and gave them instructions to create some kind of animal with the newspaper and tape. The key was it had to be strong enough for a phone book to sit on and not crush. It was a lot of fun and they really had to unite and work together to get it to work. (Credit Unknown)

You’ll need a wristwatch.  Show the group the watch and let them pass it around so they can see that it works and shows the correct time.  Explain that all of the parts of the watch must be in good working order to enable it to run efficiently.  One part of the watch that is not in good condition can have harmful effects on the other parts and cause it to function improperly.  To prevent needless wear, we should take care of our watch.  So, it is with us.  When one member fails to serve to the best of their ability and work together, it affects the rest of us.  We must be willing to work together and help each other out.  The wrist watch has many parts and pieces….all of them important.  However, if they don’t work together as a team, each doing their own part, it won’t function properly.  So it is with us.

One thing that has worked for us is a jar full of popsicle sticks with the girls names on them... before prayer in YW we pick out one and the girls then pray for that girl throughout the week... The girls always light up when their name is chosen ... (Idea shared by Brittney Rivers)
