'Caring' About Each Other

We had a Class Presidency Training and most of our class officers were there. We talked in depth about caring for each other, being a friend and example. 

1) Why 
2) Ways to show you care for and how to be a friend
3) Behaviors that show you don't care-not to do

I used the story of the Care Bears and unlike the Care Bears the Young Women don't wear a great big symbol of caring on their tummies, but their actions show their way of caring or not caring. Each Young Woman read the caring way of a different Care Bear. We likened it to the individual worth we each have and our special gifts and talents. I was worried the Young Woman might think it was a little juvenile, but they really liked it!  I'm sure we'll have to do more lessons and activities about including others and being caring, but this was a start.
