Points to a testimony
I found an analogy tying a testimony to the building of a house

Foundation--Heavenly Father

He loves us and we are his children.  The foundation must be very strong because it holds up the whole house.  Heavenly Father  must be the foundation of our testimonies.  He is strong and powerful and always supports us.

Walls--Jesus Christ

Walls are very important because they give us a secure place to live.  In and through Jesus Christ we can lead secure lives, knowing He will always be there for us.  His strength is greater than our own and will protect us.

Roof--The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church

A roof protects us from the rain and other elements.  Other churches have good people in them but only have part of the gospel, and that would be like a roof with holes in it.

Windows and door--Living prophet

They help us to see what's outside.  We can be better prepared by this.  For example if it is raining we can get an umbrella.  A testimony of the prophet is like windows and doors.  Through revelation from Heavenly Father, the prophet can prepare us for what's happening in our world.
