Object Lesson on Testimony
Idea by Korianne

Use little cups the size of sacrament cups, and putting different pictures or words on them and then using them to build a pyramid, the "testimony period".  I can think of lots of things to go with it, such as, the triangle representing the Godhead, the top of the triangle pointing up towards heaven or Heavenly Father, the fact that a testimony lifts us up, as well as others, and that, we can build our own testimony off of some of the testimonies of others, the fact that in order to have a sturdy testimony, we must have a good strong base at the bottom of our pyramid, with a triangle, even if some of the cups at the top waver as we struggle with different things, as long as we keep our base strong, we don't lose our entire testimony and will withstand the storm better and can rebuild...I could go on...I think I saw the Missionaries use this before in explaining the authority in the church...Hope this helps a little.

***  I used bricks though and then used tiny pebbles that we put on top of the bricks and under and in between.  The pebbles represented things like getting a new bishop or leaders, moving to a new ward, Prophet dying and being replaced, leaders or parents making mistakes....all kinds of things.  We used the pebbles to illustrate that if your testimony was built on a sure foundation (the bricks) that all the other challenges and/or changes in life would strengthen your testimony.
