There are many stories in the scriptures that I can relate to.

Nephi had brothers and they didn’t always agree on things. When the Lord commanded that Nephi and his brothers return to Jerusalem to get the brass plates, his brothers complained and said it would be too hard. Nephi said “I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded”.

 I know that the Lord will only ask us to do things that he knows that we can do. And if he asks us to do something hard, he will show us how to do it. The Lord helped Nephi get the brass plates even though it was hard.

Heavenly Father will help me do things that are hard too, like reading the scriptures every day, doing chores like folding clothes, getting along with my brothers, and being a good example to my friends. Heavenly Father gave me a family to help teach me how to do hard things.

I am thankful for my parents and my sister and brothers. I am thankful for families in the scriptures that were examples for us.
