Sabbath Day Observance
 

Place a small glass of water and an Alka Seltzer tablet on your table.  To enjoy and get the most out of each Sabbath Day, we must minimize all the things we "cannot" do and emphasize all the things we "can".  By doing this, we are involved in an active, uplifting Sunday that is pleasing to the Lord.
 

Hold up the glass of water.  The water in this glass represents the Sabbath.  In many ways, our Sabbath Days may seem alike, Sunday after Sunday.  Like the water, the days seem to be quiet and still, and let's admit it, sometimes boring!!!
 

We can change that if we choose and still keep the Sabbath Day holy, just by doing different activities.
 

Hold up the Alka Seltzer tablet.  This little tablet represents the Sabbath Day holy, just by doing different activities, worrying about what we can't do on Sundays, but busily engaged in all the things we can do.  Drop the tablet into the water.  The Sabbath Day (water in glass) doesn't change.  By what we do, we can change Sunday, from being like any other day, into an exciting, bubbly, and rejuvenating Sunday that will help us through the rest of the week.
