The way that I did it was I took the first
letter of each book and made a big arm movement. Like the song "YMCA" it was
like that. So for the book of Matthew we made big "M"'s with our arms. It
was a lot of fun. (Credit Unknown)
I have made a slip of paper for each book (approx 11" w x 2
1/2" h) and am going to put them on the walls and around the room beforehand
with a temporary glue stick (these work extremely well and don't leave
residue). I have used 4 colors (a color for each 2 lines of the song). I
will have a class come up and retrieve all the "yellow" books and arrange
them in order. We will learn those two lines of the song. Then have
another class retrieve all the "red" colored books and put them in order and
learn those two lines of the song. Keep going until all books are on the
board. We may even begin with the last two lines first. The idea is that
even if they don't always remember the order of the books, they may remember
that
Colossians was a yellow book and therefore in the middle of the New
Testament. I haven't done this before so I can't tell you how well it works.
We are only going to learn this song in the Sr. Primary for now. I do love
the tune and actually remember it from my days long ago in Primary.

This was taught by the last chorister and she had word strips
made with a magnet on the backs. The kids would put them in order according
to the Bible and then sing it. She used to have the junior primary line up
in order and hold up their strip when it was sung. (Idea by Angella in
Washington)
I got three poster boards. One black two white. I made them
look like a book with the cover being black. On the Cover I made it look
like a New Testament. On the first white page I have all the words to
the song. We sang this together several times to get used to the melody.
Then I opened the book to the next page. This has the all the words but they
alternate red and blue every three or four words. I have red and blue flags
that I hand to each teacher. If they have a red flag they sing the red
words, and visa versa. We sang it this way several times then switched
flags. On the third page I have every other word red or blue. This is really
fun. Sometimes I have them stand up if it's their color. sometimes not. We
sing this whenever we have time. I will let one of them choose which way we
will sing it. (Idea by Melanie Edwards)
