Here is an idea from Christy's Clipart.
(Credit Unknown) First line is
"Keep the commandments". For motion I did the McDonald's arch (two
fingers in the middle drawing an M in the air, as if there is someone out
there unfamiliar with McDonalds ha!) symbolizing the two tablets Moses
carried with the 10 commandments engraved on them. I asked is it the
McDonalds sign? Of coarse not, but it helped them to remember. "In
this there is safety"... For motion I did arm across the chest like a
crossing guard's sash or showing protection. "In this there is
peace"...For motion just a peace sign. "He will send blessings"...For
motion I did hands overlapping each other like a priesthood blessing but
started high with my hands as if Heavenly Father sends blessings from
above to us below. "Words of a prophet"...For motion just held my
hands to my mouth, pointed to a picture of the prophet on the wall.
"Keep the commandments. In this there is safety and peace."...Same motions
as before. Simple and easy, added another reverence song into our
repertoire.
Sing
“Keep the Commandments” (pp. 146–47). Give each
child a piece of paper and a pencil or crayons. Have them fold the paper
into four sections. Ask them to draw pictures of four commandments that
they could keep (see “Drawing Activities,” TNGC,
166–67). To give them ideas of what to draw,
have the pianist play several Primary songs about specific commandments,
for example,
“Baptism” (pp. 100–101);
“Search, Ponder, and Pray” (p. 109);
“Follow the Prophet” (pp. 110–11);
“Love One Another” (p. 136); and
“I Want to Give the Lord My Tenth”
(p. 150). Allow the children to share the pictures they have drawn.
Explain how having faith will help them keep the commandments.
