Primary Pops!

We had fun reviewing the songs for the program.  Our theme was "PRIMARY   POPS".  On the bulletin board I had lined up three rows, five in a row, of bright colored paper.  Written small and in the center of each was the name of a song, 15 songs all together.  I had blown up 15 balloons and attached one in each square to cover the names of the song.  Then I watched for a child that was singing really well and that child was chosen to come up and pop the balloon of his choice and we sang the song that was revealed underneath.  The children sang well, wanting to be chosen to be the popper.  I also had a container of tootsie roll pops, labeled "Primary Pops".  I explained they were microphones, and passed those out to those that were singing well.  Our primary really popped with good singers!  It was a success.
