While we were preparing for our primary program my husband and I brainstormed Musical Jeopardy. It's played like jeopardy, but we use the program songs as all of our "Questions/ Answers".  By request, I have done it for the 2007 songs.
 

I  have tried to put songs that they are very familiar with in the small point area and then of course getting harder with the more points that are at risk. However, sometimes when I know they need help with a song, I will try to make it easy so we can sing and work on the song.  After they guess correctly we all sing the song. To change it up we might sing it opera style, hum, la-la, children only, leaders only, buzz like a bee, softly or loudly, stop and go, (especially if we are repeating a song).  Also, with our points we didn't split the children against the children, we made it a competition with the leaders. SO, if the children missed it the leaders got the points, if the leaders missed it, the children got the points.  This also helped the leaders learn the songs for the program. (myself included!)

200-red

300-blue

400-purple

500-pink

bonus-black

Under each point card, I had another card with the answer on it.  In name that tune, I used just a musical note, the pianist knew ahead of time what part of the song she needed to play for

each point card.

The categories :

NAME THAT TUNE - in this category the pianist plays small or large parts of the song, depending on what points the child has chosen. They receive the points when they guess the right title of the song.
