Take canning jar lids and spray painted them gold,
then hot glued a wide ribbon to it to hang around your neck.
I made medallions once using a piece of red white
and blue striped ribbon and a York peppermint patty. It was in the fall so the
bags of snack sized patties were wrapped in fall colors instead of the
traditional silver. I cut the ribbon so they could hang it around their necks
and then used tacky glued to attach the candy to the ribbon. You could do
the same thing with the foil covered gold coins someone else mentioned in a
previous post. Or a very simple approach would be to make your own circles
out of colored paper, maybe it could say "Gold Medal Singer". Punch a hole in
it, string yarn through the hole and attach any type of candy you wish to the
paper. (Cindee in Utah)
