Craft Foam Cutouts

Idea shared by Rene

My very favorite idea was to get a piece of
craft foam sheets, cut a hole in it for a child's face to go through and then decorate around that hole to make it look like an old testament prophet. I also used a beard and mustache so that they really look like a prophet when they put their faces through! Then I put two Velcro's at the top and used only two picture clues that go along with the verse we were learning. The kids LOVE it and they learned all 10 verses this year! My favorite and theirs!

Examples for Follow the Prophet:

Adam-A Big 1st & two foot prints with the words above them that say "his ways".

Enoch - Big Red circle with a slash through it and the word sin behind it & a picture of a city being taken up in the clouds.

Noah- A telephone with the word bubble that says Preach the word & a rain cloud

Abraham - The word pray & a big 12

Moses - a picture of Moses parting the red sea & a big 40

Then we sing the chorus

Samuel - I found a picture on line of Samuel and his mother & the words "here I am"

Jonah - A found a cute picture of Jonah running away (I know, not good! But it works!) & a picture of Jonah in the whale.

Daniel - Daniel with the lions & Angels

President Hinckley - A small picture of President Hinckley and a picture of the Book of Mormon

World - A picture of the earth and a small TV with the word news on it.
