The year before last, we had a Sharing Time focusing on each child being a Child of God.  We had all the children bring a few photographs from home and magazine pictures of things they liked.  We then helped them make their own "books" that included their name, age, favorite food, favorite things to do, family, favorite color.  We collected the books.  Those families who did not attend the quarterly activity were asked to create books at home for family home evening and bring them to primary.

We put the books together in order of birth date and each Sunday, we'd honor those who had their birthdays by spotlighting them and giving them their book to take home.  We were then able to keep track of all the children, as well, if they missed the week of their birthday.
