Armor of God
We have a wonderful Bishopric who introduces the new them for each month. They will
introduce our new theme by putting a full sized poster of a Primary girl and a Primary boy
on the wall and talk about how we are all children of God and what responsibilities that
Each month the visiting member of the bishopric will place an article of "latter-day"
clothing on the girl and a piece of the "armor of God" on the boy and show how that new
clothing represents the new theme.
The above file is what I gave to each member of our Bishopric...so there is
a note on page two for them. We did give each member of the Bishopric a copy
because it has their scheduled visits on the sheet, too.
Our Bishopric has liked having something that they can use to teach the
children about the new theme for the month. It has helped them to get down
to the children's level in the words and ideas that they use. They seem to
enjoy it, too.
ADDITIONAL IDEAS from Debbie Pond - For the "Armor of God" theme from Tara from Highland, there is a picture you can get at Deseret Book of a girl and boy in armor. It is a really cool painting. You can get little pictures to give to each child. I have a larger one for children in Young Men and Young Women. The girl is also in armor. Just an extra idea. Living in California, the armor, to me, is really important. (ga12082007)
