The Easter Story Craft

Cut out the center of a paper plate, and then fold the paper plate in half.  That is the "tomb."  You can paint it brown if you want.  Glue a picture of the Savior in the "hole" of the tomb.  Fill a paper sack with newspaper and tie it off to make the "stone."
Idea taken from Susan Payson, “Easter Story,” Friend, Apr. 1995, 32.

Tell the Easter Story:

1. When Jesus died, his body was placed in a tomb. (See Matt. 27:57–60.)

2. A large stone was rolled in front of the door to cover the opening. (See Matt. 27:60.)

3. On the third day an angel came and rolled the stone away. (See Matt. 28:2.)

4. Jesus was resurrected. His spirit and his body were together again. (See Matt. 28:6, 7.)

5. When friends came to the tomb, it was empty. They knew that Jesus was alive. (See
Matt. 28:6, 7, 9.)
