Animal Hunt -
place animal pictures outside and walk around the church
grounds and have children find the animals. (Idea by Maria Wolfe)
Animal Puzzles - you can print off animals that are cut in thirds. Then you
arrange the animals with different heads, stomachs, and feet. You can rematch
them back to their original animal.
Itty Bitty Animal Names
Go on an animal hunt. Tape pictures
of animals, face down in the room (one for each child to take off the wall).
We all were veeeeeeeeeery quiet, Shhhhhhhhhhh, so we didn't SCARE the animals
away.
Make an ark out of a large cardboard box. Pretend you are Noah and his family
and load up the ark. There are really cute Noah’s Ark stickers in most places that
carry stickers.
Mixed Up Animals
Our Animal Friends
Playdough - Make snakes and "creeping things."
Racoon Dominoes - really cute dominoes.
Have your children match the pictures.

Animal Houses
Here is a nest for bluebirds- (cup hands together to
make a nest)
Here is a hive for bees- (interlock fingers to
make a hive)
Here is a hole for the bunny- (make a circle with index
finger and thumb to make a hole)
And here is a house for me! - (touch fingertips
together to make a roof)

Duck, Duck, Goose
This very popular game never loses its magic.
Seat the children in a circle and choose one child to be “it”.
That child walks around the circle and taps the others on the head saying
“duck”.
When she taps a child on the head and says “goose,” that child gets up and runs
around the circle trying to tag the child who is “it”.
If the child who is “it” sits down in the empty place before she is caught, the
new child becomes “it”.

LDS Primary Lesson Helps for Lesson 35

(Credit Unknown) I took the tune to wheels on the bus and changed it a
little to fit this lesson. The lion on the ark says roar, roar, roar, roar,
roar, roar .... all through the water. We used different animals and used there
sounds. I made puppets to go with the song. On the website www.dltk-kids.com
they have animal paper sack puppets that I used to go along with the song. [More
