I will invite my friends to Primary

Object Lesson: Bring in a beautifully wrapped present.
Make sure the garbage can is right by the front of the room. Ask the
children, "Who would like this present?" (Everyone raises their
hands). Look around and then say, "No, I don't think anyone 'really'
wants 'THIS' present." Walk over and put it in the garbage.
While walking back to where you were standing before, say, "Let's see...now
where was I?" Pause for a minute. Then say, "Too bad no
one wanted that gift...I spent a lot of time wrapping it and making it for
you."
Go back and pull it out of the garbage and place it on the table.
Compare the gospel to this beautifully present. Heavenly Father and
Jesus Christ have given us one of the most wonderful gifts of all...the
gospel. We get to CHOOSE to listen and obey.
How would you feel if only some of you were to get a gift on the others no
gift? Would that make you sad to be left out? Heavenly Father
loves us. He gave us the gospel of Jesus Christ to help us, to make us
happy, and to lead us back to Him. The gospel is a wonderful gift. Have you
ever thought of all of the blessings you have because of the gospel of Jesus
Christ?
Because of the gospel, you know that you are a child of God
and that He loves you. You learn to have faith in Jesus Christ and follow
His example. Because of the gospel you can pray to Heavenly Father anytime,
anywhere, and receive answers to your prayers.
Because of the gospel, you know that Heavenly Father has a
plan for you to return to live with Him. You learn that Jesus made it
possible for each of us to repent of our sins and be forgiven.
Because of the gospel, you can be baptized and receive the
gift of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost will help you choose the right and
comfort you. The Holy Ghost will testify to you of truth.
Because of the gospel, you can attend church and take the
sacrament. Because of the gospel, your family can be sealed together forever
in a temple of God. What wonderful blessings you have because of the
gospel of Jesus Christ!
SONG: I hope they call me on a mission
Activity - Give each class an envelope with these
puzzle pieces
(Word Document) inside of it, a blank piece of paper a pencil and a
glue stick. Have each class work together to assemble their puzzle
(from the May 2006 Friend Sharing Time). Ask them to glue the puzzle
pieces together on the blank piece of paper. Have each class think of
two extra ways they can be a missionary and have them write their answers on
the two blank puzzle pieces. Once everyone's puzzles are complete,
have them post it on the chalkboard to signal they are done. Once
everyone is finished, read some of the answers the classes wrote on the
extra puzzle pieces or ask one member of each class to come up and tell what
their class came up with.
Heavenly Father wants all of His children to have the blessings of the
gospel. You can share this precious gift with others. You can be a
missionary now by being a good friend to others, being a good example, and
inviting friends to come to Primary with you.
Handout: Give each child a missionary boy or girl handout, and have
each child draw a face on his or her handout. Have them put their names on
the name tags and write “The Book of Mormon” on the book. After they color
the figures, have them cut the figures out.

Challenge: Invite each child to focus on being a missionary this
week. Have them notice who isn't at Primary today. Who never
comes to Primary? Invite them to come with you next week. Give
them the "gift" of the Gospel.
