Adam and Eve : The Ideal Marriage
Carolyn is a wonderful seamstress and cook. She has been
asked by many people to help with their weddings. One night, one of the
daughters good friends, a recently returned sister missionary, asked if she
would sew a wedding dress and bake a wedding cake for her. “I’d be
delighted,” Carolyn exclaimed excitedly. “Who’s the lucky man?” The
returned missionary said, “I don’t know yet. I thought I’d be like
Abraham. If I prepared the knife and gathered the fire wood, the Lord would
prepare the sacrifice." - Vicki Matsumori, Women’s Conference (2002),

Marriage for Eternity, September 1993, New Era

Roll two different colors of clay into balls. Explain that each color represents
a marriage partner. Roll the two balls into one ball. Ask them to try to
separate the two colors. Each color represents the engaged couple. Mix
them together, the red and blue turning to purple. Talk about how we become one;
a marriage that will not be ended by death. The purple color the two balls
become represents royalty, as we make covenants with God.
