Brighten your families day. Change
everyone's bed linens and use a nice smelling fabric softener. Place a
short note on each person's pillow reminding them you love them!
Did you know that the church has
a Humanitarian website? You can color ABC books, make teddy bears,
make children's books and more! What a great service project for you
and/or your family, for Family Night, Youth Service Project, or no reason at
all!
Check it out and see if there is a project you
would be willing to do....

instead of hold a grudge.
Offer to take an elderly person a doctor appointment and keep them company.
Say hi to someone new.
To be kind to yourself. Take time to do something for
yourself....whether it be a long soak in the tub, making time to read your
favorite book, or doing something you've always wanted to do. YOU are
important too and you need to take care of yourself.
Going out to dinner?
Ask one of your visiting teaching sisters to come along. It is a fun
and relaxed way for her to get to know you and/or your family.
Invite a neighbor or
inactive sister to Enrichment Night.
Give someone a flower.
Write a letter to a missionary.
This time of year can be hard....send some cheer. No one knows, like a
missionary, the joy it brings to see a letter in the mailbox!!
Call someone who is
homebound and ask if they would like you to do their Christmas shopping for
them.
Say
thank you to someone who has helped you today....whether it is someone who
opened a door for you, someone who was extremely patient with you, or simply
showed you a kindness...make sure to say thank you.
Help
a neighbor prepare their yard or house for winter.
Pay for someone's lunch today.
In your personal prayers, ask a

sit by you, or you go sit by them.

Willingly let someone in traffic that is trying to
merge over.
Give a hug to someone today.
Invite someone to have lunch with you.
Play a board game with your children tonight.
How long has it been? Let them have some personal time with you.
Don't have kids? Call up a neighbor, a visiting teacher, friend or
relative and invite them over to play a game. What a great way to
renew a friendship.
Are you going grocery shopping today? Return
your grocery basket in the stall after you are finished instead of leaving
it by your vehicle. And why not take someone else's along the way?
Today call, write, or e-mail that distant
relative...if you are e-mailing, please do more than just forward silly stories
and scare tactics to each other.
Look everyone in the eye and say hello as you pass each person in the hall today
at church. Call them by name and smile.
Today's mission is the "I was doing it anyway
principle". Examples: If you have to go to a grocery store anyway- call
and ask a homebound individual if you can pick up anything for them. If
you have to drive to a meeting anyway- call and invite someone else who also has
to go to ride with you. If you are cooking anyway- cook a little something
for a person who is sick. If you have to take your garbage can out to the
curb- walk across the street and also take your neighbors can out to the street.
You get the idea.
Leave a note of love or praise where a loved one will
find it.
Have a prayer specifically for someone who is on your mind or could
use help. Pray to know how to best help them. Follow the guidance of
the Spirit.
