We don't have an Enrichment night per se. We do however
have a monthly, daytime meeting which we call FYC=Fill Your Cup. It is a much
more relaxed, low-key version of enrichment. One sister will share her
'favorite things' (scripture, book, recipe, activity etc) Sisters have all
filled out a sheet about themselves, almost a mini biography. Each month one
sister is asked to read hers and she gets a little treat. Themes for FYC vary.
We have had gardening tips and plant exchanges. Guest speakers. Show and tell
with products we purchased because of tv commercials and told if they worked as
promised or didn't. We have discussed books such as the 'color' book, "The 5
Love Languages". We have a nursery and the sister who does the nursery is given
dinner (usually a casserole or soup that she can take home and cook) for her
family. We have a tasting table, this year we are trying to coordinate the
tasting with what our specialist has organized for dry pack for that month. One
month a sister in our ward came and did a FABULOUS bread making demo. I think
we all went home thinking we could make homemade bread, without a machine! The
crowd isn't huge 20ish usually. We have had as few as 10 and up to 30 or so.
We have a specialist called who organizes and comes up with all the ideas. We
don't have FYC in November or December. I really enjoy going and we get great
feedback.
