We used to have Secret Sisters where each girl and leader would draw out the name of another person at camp. This person became their Secret Sister for the time they were at camp. They would give that person a small gift, do some camp chore, leave an inspirational thought, etc... for that person each day. Our only problem was that some girls drew out a name, but didn't prepare anything for the other person and didn't know what to do so they did nothing hoping that no one would know or notice. Some girls brought extravagant gifts and others brought inexpensive gifts. This became out of balance Even when we gave a limit of cost. I would usually bring a few extra things just incase someone had nothing to give (along with a few ideas on how to give of ones self). But it sometimes became to easy to forget. As a remedy to this problem, we changed from Secret Sisters to Secret Wards.
 

Each ward drew another ward's name out of a bowl. We were given an approximate number of girls and leaders expected for that ward (added on about 5 incase of last minute campers). We them prepared the gifts for the entire ward ahead of time. This remedied the problem and no one was forgotten. It was nice to work as a group to get our gift to the other ward. The girls appreciated it more. All girls had varying degrees of income, but that didn't matter because we did this as a group and there was no more extravagant gifts and no one was forgotten. These were delivered while the camp was at a meeting in the lodge, on the hike, etc... We would deliver these in a nice basket that was to be returned to the lodge when emptied of the gifts. This way we could use it over again. The ward that had us last year used the large whicker baskets and each day we received a new one. The baskets were a gift for the leaders.
