Friendship Fire
shared by Becky from
Becky's World of Son Shine / ga01232007

One thing we did one year to help the girls bond was had a special fire
called a friendship fire. We had write each girl's name on a piece of paper
and as we showed that name, each girl gave responses of what the neat things
they saw in her. As they gave their answers,
(even one or two words) we wrote them down. Each person around the camp fire
stated something about each person there. Then we talked about each of us
had different talents and neat personalities and yet each were daughters of
God. We then knelt in a circle and talked about our best friend that each of
us had. We gave attributes of the Savior and we asked them to close their
eyes and we had them hold on to mirrors. As we asked them to open their eyes
we had them look into their mirrors and they saw themselves and the Savior.
(The leaders each had pictures of the Savior that we had holding by them)
Then we all folded our arms and linked pinkies and had prayer.
