ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: (Idea by
Loretta Tomshack) Suggestion for the ice bowls, you may want to try
unmolding them like you'd do a Jell-O mold. Dip them in hot water for
a few seconds and then turn them over onto a plate of some kind. The
should come out easy. Instead of using a smaller bowl, which you'll
have to try to remove, how about using a clear disposable bowl that's
been weighted down a little. That way you won't have to try to remove
it and when you put the candies in the center, they won't get all wet
and soggy.

I'm
doing an ice-breaker in September. The table centerpieces will have ice
bowls with mints (to perpetuate the "cool" feeling). To make, just fill
a bowl of water and place another smaller bowl inside then freeze.
You'll have to experiment a little and plan on completing well in
advance. My challenges were freezer space, and cracking/breaking when I
pulled them out of the molds. I plan on placing them on white foam
plates to catch the melt water. This could pose as a challenge, and I'll
have to experiment a little more. The decorations will be penguins,
ice-burgs, snowflakes and so on.
