The Nativity 12
Days of Christmas
by Robert Gull / ga12142006

Use this 12 days of Christmas poem to give away a nativity piece each day.
On the 1st day of Christmas
our Heavenly Father gave to us . . . a gospel BASE of knowledge of what WE
must do to return home to him!
On the 2nd Day of Christmas our Heavenly Father gave to us . . . a Donkey.
This meek lowly animal carried Mary to Bethlehem. Our Heavenly Father gave
us courage and Prayer to help us carry our burdens.
On the 3rd Day of Christmas our Heavenly Father gave to us . . . the
animals, which are here for our benefit here upon this earth.
On the 4th Day of Christmas our Heavenly Father gave to us . . . the
Shepard, who watched over the flocks and protected them from danger.
On the 5th Day of Christmas our Heavenly Father gave to us . . . the Camel.
The Camel represents endurance, as the camel traveled across the desert it
has to endure many miles of heat and adverse conditions, just as we need to
endure our many adversities!
On the 6th Day of Christmas our Heavenly Father gave to us . . . a Wise Man
Carrying Gold. It seems we need a little gold to sustain life and pay our
debts. Those with excess should help those who are less fortunate.
On the 7th Day of Christmas our Heavenly Father gave to us . . . a Wise Man
Carrying Frankincense. Frankincense was a sweet smelling perfume used on
babes, and could represent the sweet gospel we should cherish.
On the 8th Day of Christmas our Heavenly Father gave to us . . . a Wise Man
Carrying Myrrh, Myrrh was a holy ointment used to cleanse the body, which
could represent our need today of purifying our bodies which are holy
tabernacles of God.
On the 9th Day of Christmas our Heavenly Father gave to us . . . the Angel
which paved the way by administering and teaching of the Christ to those
here upon the Earth.
On the 10th Day of Christmas our Heavenly Father gave to us . . . Joseph,
who was earthly patriarch.
On the 11th Day of Christmas our Heavenly Father gave to us . . . Mary, the
mother of our elder Brother Jesus.
On the 12th Day of Christmas our Heavenly Father gave to us . . . The Baby
Jesus. The reason we celebrate Christmas, our eldest Brother who lived and
died for us.
