An idea to make Baptism Day Special
shared by Lisa Hunt / ga02202007

While child is changing from baptismal clothes,
I hand out pens and handmade postcards with a little Primary graphic on it. Those in attendance are instructed to write a message to the child being baptized on the FRONT side only of the postcard. Then I gather them up (usually a younger primary child is more than willing to help). I paste them on some cute scrapbook paper that night and put them in sheet protectors. Then tie the sheet protectors together with raffia. We then present the "book" to the child in Primary the next Sunday and sing the "Baptism Song" to them. At the front of the book is a picture of the Savior being baptized with the date and the name of the child. Our Primary Presidency also includes a special letter to the child.
