We are doing an on-going activity for the year with articles of faith. For the 1st half of the year the kids learned them and then we had a quarterly activity and for each Article of Faith they learned they got a water balloon to throw at Samuel the Lamanite which was me the Primary President. We had Scripture Splash with various stations from the scripture culminating in the end with Samuel... For the 2nd half of the year we are considering a whip cream pie toss for the other Articles learned. The kids have been really motivated and are doing great. We have the teachers keep track and report back to the secretary via the rolls each week.

Here is a description of our quarterly activity.  We had a welcome table where we had our secretary and a teacher with the list of children and the number of articles of faith they passed off.  They issued a colored headband we made from fabric strips.

Each group met on the bleachers at the park.  We welcomed the kids and then rotated stations.

The first station was Moses parts the red sea.  We had a kiddie pool and a rope and a teacher to tell the story of Moses.  Then 2 teams competed in a tug of war.

The second station was the parable of the 10 virgins We had 2 teams compete in a water relay where we had 3 measuring cups per team and a trash can at both ends.  One with water and the other empty.  They needed to fill the measuring cup and pass it to the next person down the line and then dump it into the empty trash can.  the first one to reach a predetermined line won.

Then we had a Nephi builds a boat station.  Also with a kiddie pool we had plastic boats 3 or so and and the kids got the story of Nephi and the had boat races with straws.

The 4th station was 2000 Stripling Warriors. We had a big sand pile where we buried 50 plastic knives.  The kids got the story had to find the knives and then covenant not to fight and rebury the knives.

We rotated about every 12-15 minutes depending on how long the activity is.

We ended at the bleachers with the story of Samuel the Lamanite and then by class the kids threw the water balloons at me (Samuel).  I had a shield to deflect the balloons, but I still got soaked and the kids loved it.  We did it by class because there was over 500 balloons and I did want to survive...  At the end we had freezer pops for the kids as they left.
