For an intro to the Senior sharing time I am passing out papers numbered one through ten and pencils.  I have ten objects:

pen
chapstick
penny
dime
small tack
safety pin
button
key
ring
paperclip

I will list the objects on the board and then show them quickly - I will drop them one at a time into a glass and have the kids write down what they heard.  The comparison is that during Joseph's time they all had the same information but there were so many different ways of interpreting it all.  Some kids will get them all right and some will get them all wrong and some will miss just one or two and so on.  Show that even though the same information was available through the scriptures everyone took it to mean as they wished - they all "HEARD" what they wanted and "Believed" what worked for them.
